What People Have to Say

“I’ve had the good fortune of knowing Dr. Ferguson for nearly 20 years! First, as my program director during residency and now a colleague in the crazy world of Emergency Medicine. I can say with full confidence that he was born to teach. His passion and energy for medicine is contagious and renews in you the whole reason you chose medicine to begin with. It’s clear to see that his dedication to emergency medicine is born from his love for humanity and the desire to help and to heal. Thank you Kevin!”

I come from a big family. I have my parents, four brothers, three sisters and me. I grew up in an Akha village, called “Sanjarern Mai Village.” My family was very poor to raise all the children. I came to live at DAC Inc. when I was 7 years old. DAC Inc. was my second home. This place provided me with knowledge, valuable skills and a safe place. All the staff, Ajarn David, P Asa, P Amporn, P Dang, P Pan, are dedicated to help, teach, love and protect me. Now, I am a registered nurse. I couldn’t have made it this far without all the support and guidance from them. I wholeheartedly appreciate everything DAC Inc. has done for me.

I am a member of the Akha tribe, one of Thailand's minority groups. As a member of a minority group, I had difficulty accessing education and other government welfare services, and I became vulnerable to child trafficking and exploitation. Fortunately, DAC Inc. rescued me and assisted me in obtaining a higher education (I was even supported to study English in Australia). During my time at DAC Inc., I was taught life skills that will help me in the future. Now I am married with two beautify kids and currently work as a change agent for an international development organization.Thank you, DAC Inc., for saving my life and moulding me into a good member of society.
